MIND YOUR MIND!
Hi, my name is Eliane. People often ask me “When should I seek a therapist?” My answer is “When you are not feeling as happy as you used to or as you wish to.” Psychotherapy is a wonderful way to strengthen our mental health
I love being a therapist and to have the ability to help others in their quest. My mission is to bring out awareness, foster acceptance and understanding, to create change and personal growth within you.
The relationship with the therapist should feel safe, comfortable and trusting. I will give you regular feedback, so you can assess your progress.
I use a multidisciplinary approach, to be able to adapt to your unique needs. My treatment approach involves a thorough assessment and based on the results a treatment plan and approach will be developed, taking all your issues in consideration.
Being a military spouse and having a diverse background (born in Brazil and lived in several places in the US and abroad) has given me the opportunity to work and connect with a multicultural clientele. I am fluent in German, Portuguese and Spanish.
I have a master’s degree in counseling, from Johns Hopkins University. I am licensed as a counselor in Maryland, Texas and Florida. Additionally, I am a certified Employee Assistance Provider, a TeleMental Health Provider and I have a PhD in Behavioral Health.
Seeking help generally comes as a result of emotional upheaval and being “stuck without a way out.” This may involve marital relationship, family issues, co-parenting disagreements, or deeply personal struggles. When you make an appointment for yourself, or for your family, you are that much closer to feeling hopeful and on a positive path to change. The environment you will find at Psychotherapy Associates of Broward is warm and welcoming, supportive, non judgmental and unbiased.
